The Trump administration has used the power of the presidency to help some celebrities achieve fame, but others have been left out.
Vice News investigates how this trend of celebrity-based media-franchise policies has unfolded and what they mean for the future of the American presidency.
Ivanka Trump’s father and the “Celebrity Apprentice” The Trump family is a multi-billion-dollar conglomerate that includes Trump Entertainment Resorts, which owns the NBCUniversal-owned Miss Universe pageant, and the Trump Organization, which has run the Trump-branded hotels, golf courses, casinos and shopping malls in New York, Las Vegas, and other major cities.
Ivanka has made it clear she wants to use her wealth and influence to help her father in his quest for the presidency.
“My dad will be able to use me as much as I can for him, so I think I can help him get re-elected,” Ivanka said at the Republican National Convention last summer.
“It’s going to be a great opportunity to help him.”
Ivanka’s father has said he wants to keep the United States in the Paris climate accord.
He is a vocal critic of President Barack Obama, who he has called “a globalist” and who has criticized global climate change.
He has also criticized Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders for “bringing climate change to the forefront of American politics.”
Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, also have extensive ties to the business world, and both have attended a business conference in Dubai, where they have met with top executives.
Kushner has been a partner at a private equity firm that owns luxury real estate in New Jersey.
Ivanka’s husband is also a major investor in the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. The Trump Organization owns more than 20 properties around the world, including Trump Tower in New London, Connecticut, Trump International Golf Links in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, Virginia, Trump Castle in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Trump International Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.
Ivanka also runs a children’s book publishing company, the Ivanka Trump Foundation, which is focused on empowering girls around the globe to read.
The “Celebrities Apprentice” host Ivanka Trump and her father Jared Kushner have become household names since they first appeared on “Celebs Apprentice” in 2006.
The show was a ratings success for the Trump family, and it made Ivanka a star in the media.
She also has become an advocate for women’s rights and the empowerment of women.
She has spoken out about sexual harassment and violence against women in the entertainment industry.
In addition to working at NBCUniversal, Ivanka has been named the chair of the Women Entrepreneurship Initiative at the United Nations Women’s Conference, which was held in New Orleans in October.
She’s also a member of the Council on Women in Business, and has advocated for women in business for decades.
Ivanka is currently the executive vice president of Ivanka Trump Inc., the parent company of the “Trump Organization,” which is a subsidiary of the Trump brand.
Ivanka and Jared Kushner also serve on the boards of the Atlantic City Development Corporation, the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, and New Jersey Development Corp. Ivanka serves on the board of directors of The Donald J. Trump Foundation and the Ivanka’s Diversified Wealth Initiative, which seeks to create wealth for women and disadvantaged women.
Ivanka said she has worked with her father to help bring down the cost of childcare for low-income women.
In 2015, Ivanka and Ivanka’s brother Eric announced the launch of the Ivanka Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to bring about greater equality in education, health care, and politics.
Ivanka plans to run for president in 2020.
Donald Trump and Jared Kushnick: “Celebrates the women” Donald Trump Jr., who attended a fundraiser with Ivanka Trump in 2016, told the New York Times that he and his father have spent thousands of hours in the past year doing what Ivanka described as “celebrating the women.”
Ivanka, who is married to Jared Kushner and has a son, Eric, and daughter, Tiffany, is now a board member of The Trump Foundation.
She and Jared, the president’s son, have made regular appearances at Ivanka’s wedding to Jared’s brother, Eric Trump, and have hosted an event honoring Ivanka in the White House.
Ivanka was also the first lady of the United Arab Emirates from January 20, 2009 to May 17, 2019.
Ivanka, Donald and Eric Trump have donated $5 million to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and $500,000 to the World Wildlife Fund since they began making donations to the organizations in 2014.
Ivanka recently made the decision to sell her stake in the company, saying that she needed to make more money to help pay for her children’s college educations.
Ivanka will host an event in New Hampshire on Friday, April 26, 2020, as part of the Presidential Inauguration Day festivities.
