The stars of the Star Wars celebration, the vegan chefs, are back in style with an event celebrating their passion for vegan food.
The Vegan Star Wars Celebration will be held at the Princess Hotel in Dublin from Saturday to Sunday and is expected to attract around 500 guests.
Organisers say that they want the event to be a way for people to enjoy the food of the stars while also supporting the cause of cruelty-free food.
“This year we have created a unique event that celebrates the diversity of our stars and the vegan food they produce,” said Joanne O’Leary, the event’s co-ordinator.
“Celebrity chef Johnnie Walker, the star of the Disney Channel’s Celebrity Chef, will be cooking up a vegan meal and it will be on the menu for guests to enjoy.”
The star chef, who is also the host of the vegan cooking show Kitchen Nightmares, is a regular contributor to the event and will be bringing his passion for food to the occasion.
“The guests will have the chance to taste his signature recipes and be inspired by his incredible work,” said Mr O’Brien.
“We are looking forward to seeing how this event will go and I’m confident that everyone will come away with a better appreciation for what we are doing,” he added.
The Star Wars Celebrations has attracted a large following and has already received several awards, including best food programme for the most popular films, a Golden Globe and two Emmy nominations.
“It’s a very unique opportunity to celebrate our heroes and their passion to be vegan,” said the event organiser.
“And it’s an opportunity to support the vegan movement in a very important way, because we know that if you do not support the cause, you do the cause very, very bad.”
Organisers hope that the event will inspire other people to become vegans.
“I think this is the best way to support these brave stars and their incredible work to make a difference to our world,” said Ms O’Learys.
“Whether it’s a star chef who cooks up some of the best vegan food in the world, or a vegan chef who is a vegan cookbook author or a vegetarian chef who helps out with the food in their restaurants.
We want to help them make a big impact and inspire others to follow their lead.”

The celebrity chefs will also be bringing in some of Hollywood’s most famous chefs to share their passion with guests.
